Thank you for playing! I'm very happy you enjoyed the game!

This is brilliant! I like the environmental storytelling and the camera mechanic is done in a new and exciting way. My only gripe is that triggering the ghost is an instant game over, as there doesn't appear to be any way to avoid it. The only way I could get the neutral or bad endings were to know it was there in advance and just set everything up before triggering it.

I've tried to get the good ending, but I can't figure out what to do with the bear, and picking it up is 100% lethal so there's not much room to explore or experiment once you grab it.

Thank you for playing! The ghost isn't an instant game over. You can banish the ghost when she's chasing you. Did you translate the runes? You don't need to but they give you a hint as to what you're supposed to do. You can also, if you're quick on your feet, even finish the last puzzles when she's chasing you but I don't expect anyone to even try that, it's more of a fun fact.

Thank you again for playing, I'm so happy you liked it and I'll keep your feedback and experience in mind for future patches, it was very valuable!

I've tried over a dozen times to get the good ending, and I cannot figure out what to do with the bear and how to deal with the deadly ghost. I translated the runes and spun the globe, but "Bear...Child..." and "She took my teddy" aren't helping me. I guess I am just missing something, but I've tried placing the bear in pretty much every location in the house (oven, shower, crib, rune table, fridge, cage, couch, TV, washing machine) - nothing. And having to figure this out with a ghost that kills you in three seconds is incredibly frustrating because there's no margin for error and no time to experiment.

Any hints on getting the good ending without completely spoiling it?

Sure thing, I'll give you two. One is cryptic and one isn't. Pick which one you want to read.

Cryptic: red smoke rises.

Not cryptic: the runes.

I swear I thought I had tried that, but I guess I wasn't doing it right. But thanks for the hint! I was able to get the final ending, I appreciate the help and listening to my compla-- er, I mean feedback. :)

very nice game

Thank you very much, friend!

At first that bear had a look of innocence hahaha, but that was soo far from the actual truth! First of all, the mechanic of using a medium to uncover information is always a nice step for spooks. It's so frickin eerie to see something that you cannot see for yourself! The gameplay and puzzles worked together very well, I praise you for that haha the only downfall is that there isn't more to play! A good downfall, I guess.

Great Work!

Woah, thank you so much! I'm very happy you liked it and that you want more, I'm working very hard on new content and hopefully you'll give Chapter 2 a try when it releases aswell!

Really enjoyed the use of the phone to change how we problem solved! Seen the mechanic used once before in a game but that was using a mirror so nice modern update on that! Would love to see this extended a bit more, maybe a bit more background to the characters added but overall a fun game! Nice work!

Thank you for the feedback and for playing! Things will be explained in the coming chapters, hopefully you come back to check out Chapter 2 when it releases!

I don't think taking the teddybear was a good idea...

(+1)

Thank you for playing. Yeah, teddybears can be a sensitive issue for some people, it's a very complex subject matter!

I had a sensitive attachment to a teddy bear once (it was embarrassing cuz i was in 8th grade XD)

Had a blast playing A Mirage of Home! Such a unique take on the horror genre with the selfie cam. The story line was great as well. Really excited for what you do next morritorgames!

Thank you for playing! I'm super happy you liked the game, hopefully you'll come back when Chapter 2 releases and try it out aswell!

Love the concept of using your phone to see new things! Also the mom is terrifying! Good job! Timestamp in description.

Thank you very much for playing and for the kind words!

An interesting concept! The visuals are great and the puzzles fairly straightforward. Maybe not the scariest of games in its present form, but it definitely had a bit of creepiness to it. It'll be interesting to see how you develop it further!

Thank you for playing and for the feedback. I agree, and I'm going to focus more on increasing the horror factor in the coming chapter!

Great game I had so much fun playing it and getting all the endings

👍

Thank you so much for playing! I'm thrilled you enjoyed the game, friend!

😊👍

Thank you very much for playing and for the video!

I TOOK THE TIME TO GET ALL ENDINGS! THIS WAS A GOOD GAME MORRITOR!

I'm super happy you enjoyed it! Thank you for playing and for making a video!

no problem!

I really enjoyed this game and the puzzles, I really had to think because I wanted all 3 endings and it all paid off. The creep factor was their, the ghost got me good and the puzzles was really fun. Love it

Thank you so much for the kind words and for playing, it was a very entertaining video, I love the title aswell.

Hey Morritor Games, thanks so much for making this one! Truly impressed with the overall quality of it, although it did leave me a bit confused on what I was supposed to do (hence getting the bad ending) but the mechanics of using the cellphone to look for clues and stuff that isn´t there in my reality was very cool and I got someone attached to me in the gameplay~ Will definitely keep an eye on you guys!

Thank you for playing. I saw you experienced a major bug that has since been patched out so I'd just like to say sorry for that.

I'm very happy you enjoyed the game and that you're interested in more, please come back in around a month if you're interested in playing chapter 2. You can read some more about it in the latest devlog if you want to know more. Thank you again for playing!

Oh I didn´t know that the lady ghostie goo chasing me constantly was a bug and if you interested in me testing your game, I´d be more than happy to, I have some experience in the matter of breaking games or finding glitches/bugs! Just let me know :) and of course I am interested in more, your game is really promising! Thanks again lovely~

This game has such a unique feature with using the phone to view the world in another light. I loved the concept and enjoyed the game and searching for the different endings! (Playthrough starts at 40:53 in the video)

Thank you for playing, it was a very entertaining video!

I really like the selfie-cam gimmick! I thought of doing something similar with a game of mine but you guys beat me to it! The puzzles were intuitive enough that I never felt entirely lost, but that could also be because the room is pretty small so it never really feels like you're missing much. I can't say I was ever particularly scared of anything that happened, except for one or two really cool 'ghostly' segments (one of which is really early in the game). It honestly felt more like an older puzzle game with mild horror elements than a fully fledged horror game and that's totally fine with me. I had a good time!

Thanks for making games!

Thank you for playing the game and letting me know what you thought of it!

Hey, I cannot seem to right and left click to place. I am using laptop.

Strange! I'm very sorry you're having issues, I'm planning on adding key remapping in a future update but you're sadly stuck with the current controls for now. If your laptop's mousepad has buttons (left click and right click) aswell as the clickable trackpad it should be as easy as holding right click and then clicking left click but if it doesn't that's sadly a control scheme design flaw I didn't even think about, a flaw I will fix as soon as I'm able!

(+1)

No worries as I want to play your game, but hopefully once updated :D
Seems soo good so far.

(1 edit)

I just realized something, the placement should work if you hold down left alt instead of M2. I'm not 100% sure but I'm 99%.

i shall give it a try soon!

Really enjoyed this game! Love the idea with the front camera that’s showing the stuff behind you and that you can get different endings (even though I only got the bad one)! You did a good Job! (:

Thank you for playing, I'm glad you liked the idea aswell as the game. And thank you so much for making a video!

Head was farting for the most part but it is enjoyable, keep it up! 👌

Thank you for giving my game a shot!
